The number of Covid-19 deaths in 2021 surpassed 2020 in November, according to data from John Hopkins University, which has tallied 770,816 deaths since the start of the pandemic, more than double the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s count of deaths for 2020.

Federal Appeals Court Reaffirms Decision To Temporarily Halt Biden Administration Covid-19 Vaccine Mandate

The Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans reaffirmed its decision to temporarily halt the Biden administration’s mandate for large private employers to require their workers to get vaccinated against Covid-19 or face weekly Covid-19 testing while litigation against it proceeds, citing financial risks and potential harm to companies under the rule.
